No matter what happens, no matter what the appearance, we are always successful. What looks like
failure teaches us what not to do, what does not work. It forces us to refocus, and redo.
Iyanla Vanzant

Full Moon in Capricorn:
It is not about what others are doing or what they have done. It's about what you are doing
and what you have done to maintain your personal sense of peace, purpose and
power as you get from where you were to where you want to be.

Each step you take, no matter how small, is a sign that you're ready to go to the next level.

If we believe that others are doing much better in life than us, or that others are much further ahead in their career than us, remember that this is not about them — because we don't know what steps they have taken to get there, how long it took them to get there and where will they go from that point forward. This is more about the steps we have taken and the steps we need to take next in order to get to where we want to be.

Understand that the reason why our idea of getting to 'where we need to be' can be difficult is because more often than not, it is based on what we were taught to believe about success as children, or what we believe others are expecting from us, or simply what the ego wants us to believe about ourselves. Where we need to be, may actually be different to where we want to be — which can be a fascinating thought to ponder.

Perhaps life is not always about getting to where we 'need' to be (aka the destination), because the idea of getting to where we 'want' to be truthfully seems more fun, more immediate. Perhaps by getting to where we want to be, we can actually get to where we need to be. Perhaps the idea is to sometimes get to where we want to be (aka having more fun along the way), so that we don't feel as resentful as we take each step toward what we believe to be 'where we need to be'.

Going for our dreams can be more fun when we don't feel bad about where we currently are. Going for our dreams can be more fun when we don't worry about what others expect from us. Instead of thinking that we should be further ahead by now, we can start by thinking about how far we really have come and how much we haven't explored yet.

A Full Moon in the sign of ambitious Capricorn is bringing to us an opportunity to focus on how much we have accomplished. Although with Capricorn's ruler, Saturn, currently moving backwards in its own sign, there can still be momentary tendencies to focus on what we haven't accomplished. Don't give in.

There is a new road ahead. It may look like a long road, but we can surprise ourselves of the little gifts we will find along the way by just twisting our spirits. A new sense of hope can go a long way. This is our chance to redo, revamp and restructure.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius | Living Magic

 February 15th, 2018

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius:
You owe it to your soul to listen to your own inner voice and create your own magic.

What does it mean to live our own magic? Is it the freedom to act as we wish? Is it the freedom to think as we please? Is it the freedom to speak our minds? Living our magic is essentially living our truth. It's about tapping into the confidence we were born with. Recognizing that confidence was our original nature, before time started chiseling away at it.

Perhaps we began forming doubts and insecurities when we began developing more self-awareness. We began wondering about how other people saw us. By learning about our strengths and weaknesses, we can gain a deeper understanding about what we do well and where there is room for growth. It's ultimately about trusting our own capabilities. No one in the world knows everything. So when people criticize us, we can see it as an opportunity to reach the next level and to learn more, not only about ourselves, but also about others.

Living our magic is essentially living our truth.

Living our own magic also requires us to fully live our own story. We all tell ourselves stories about who we are, what we are capable of, and what we hope to achieve. By recognizing the difference between those personal stories that are self-empowering and those that are more self-limiting, we can begin to live our magic from the soul.

Know that self-limiting stories only stop us from walking in the direction of our purpose, whereas self-empowering ones help us to tap into the best version of ourselves. As we work on shifting our thoughts to ones that are more loving, empowering and liberating, we can find the freedom in being ourselves, and from there, we will also find the magic in living a happy and liberated life.

Self-empowering stories help us to tap into
the best version of ourselves.

Happy New Moon Solar Eclipse! The Moon is joining Mercury and the Sun in Aquarius marking a super rebellious and and free-spirited New Moon in the sign of the Water Bearer. With a Solar Eclipse happening at the same time, we get an extra push on what it means to fully recognize our truth and to express it authentically.

When we are being true to ourselves, we are completely honest with what we feel, value and desire. When we are being truthful to ourselves, we also communicate our feelings genuinely with both ourselves and others, allowing truth to flow through us and into the world. We can expand our connection with ourselves by learning to listen to our deeper senses and feelings. We will know it when we are out of alignment because there's a feeling of unease, tension disconnection from our truth. But we will also know it when we are in alignment because there's a feeling of openness, expansion and joy.

When we are being true to ourselves, we are completely
honest with what we feel, value and desire.

With the Moon's square to Jupiter in Scorpio, we remember that there is freedom, wonder and mystery in the unknown future. We understand that when one door closes, another one opens for us to discover, explore and express. This helps us put life into perspective and allows us to move from a victim place to a more victorious one. Yes, it may seem scary to surrender to the unknown, but there is great freedom in letting go of a path that has served its purpose, and walking onto a new one more in alignment with our highest good.

The Moon is also forming a sextile to Mars in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries, and opportunities are boundless, but there's a decision to be made. The options around us now may appear to have all the influence and power, but in reality, we have more power than we give ourselves credit for. We are embarking on a much-needed journey to leave the past behind. With all the lessons that we've learnt from past experiences, we are ready to experience new adventures where we can be more truthful to our soul and live more fully in our magic.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo | Working It

 January 31st, 2018

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo:
I'm gonna work it because this is my truth.

Are you working it? Are you walking in your truth? Are you maximizing your potential and living your dreams? Maximizing our potential begins when we stop listening to our self-limiting beliefs because we can see that they are the voice of the negative ego. Living our dreams begins when we start listening to our truth and walk from a place of deep authenticity.

People who achieve their dreams don't get there by chance. They know their purpose when they start their journey, and they kept that intention alive as they move forward. Knowing our purpose is not about walking forward blindly toward our goals. It's about looking more closely at what we are looking for, in order to see more detail — to magnify that which we want. And then it's about taking action and moving toward it with a sharper focus.

Moving toward our dreams also requires clear faith, where we feel more in alignment with our personal sense of empowerment. A study by Dr. Masaru Emoto revealed that our words and thoughts do impact every cell in our bodies. With the ability to affect our entire being, more empowering self-statements can increase our self-esteem and self-confidence.

Realizing that there is always room for development and evolution can also stop us from feeling stuck in our old ways. To develop and maximize our potential, devote ourselves to becoming  a lifelong learner. From there, we can begin investing back in ourselves and proceed forward from a place of never-ending growth, resilience and transformation.

Living our dreams begins when we start listening to our truth
and walk from a place of deep authenticity.

Happy Full Moon Lunar Eclipse! The Moon in Leo is forming an opposition to Mercury, the Sun and Venus in Aquarius marking an extra revolutionary Full Moon in the sign of the Lion. With a Lunar Eclipse happening at the same time, we get an extra oomph on what it means to evolve and become more of our authentic selves. A Lunar Eclipse happening in the sign of the Lion brings to us the opportunity to look at our Shadow Self in order to embrace our Light Self.

Understand that motivation alone is not enough for us to live from a more authentic point of view. It still takes effort to develop our personal potential. By not only focusing on our strengths (Light Self), but also on our challenges (Shadow Self), we can start developing those unique qualities. As a result, we can begin to cultivate a more loving faith in ourselves and boost our belief in our ability to achieve more.

Realizing that there is always room for development
and evolution can also stop us from feeling
stuck in our old ways.

The Moon is forming a square to Jupiter in Scorpio, and we are reminded that honoring our story begins with honoring our spirit. It may be difficult sometimes to understand painful things, yet how we respond to life's challenges is how we rise up to greet our destiny. As we become more aware of what we can and cannot change, peace comes from recognizing that what we can control is our own attitude.

With the Moon's trine to Mars in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries, we can rock it! We are called to release our doubts and express our true selves. Magic is all around, so let go of fear and allow courage to lead us from this point forward. As we ready ourselves for a leap of faith, we will find that the only way we can move forward now is by answering the call of the spirit to live our lives more authentically from the soul.
