Full Moon in Cancer | Conquering Your Sea of Emotions

● | ● | ● | ●

 December 25th, 2015

Full Moon in Cancer: Don't believe the lies your ego tells.
Believe the truth your soul shares.

The constant battle between what the ego believes to be our truth and what the soul believes to be our truth comes from us confusing one with the other. How can we tell the difference when emotions seem to take over our rationality? It is actually quite simple. The ego wants to stay on top of our emotions. While the soul understands that we are bigger than our emotions. This doesn't mean that the soul doesn't want to deal with our emotions and feelings. It simply means that the soul doesn't want emotions to cloud our sense of judgment. The idea of our ego bruising comes from us thinking that our integrity is being jeopardized. When in truth, our soul's integrity is never in jeopardy. It is the ego that creates the illusion of separation from our sense of empowerment. Whereas the soul brings us back to our awareness and sense of self. By understanding that each and every one of us has our own assumptions, perceptions and expectations, we make less room for the ego to take over whenever we feel emotionally threatened. By understanding that the soul's integrity can never be taken away from us, we make way for our consciousness to keep growing and evolving. Perhaps it's about time we looked deep within our consciousness for any old anger, resentment or grievances. Perhaps it's about time we forgave ourself for thinking that our old self should had known better. Understand that we reacted the way we did because of all the information we knew at the time. There is no fast forward button to life. There are only the play and pause buttons. The play button pushes us to keep on moving forward, while the pause button serves as a reminder for us to stop for a moment and reflect. Let go of our attachment to the ego and become the captain of our soul.

Happy Full Cold Moon! The Moon is in Cancer opposite the Sun, Pluto and Mercury in Capricorn, marking an extra intuitive and emotional Full Moon in the sign of the Crab. The Native American tribes call this the Cold Moon or the Long Nights Moon because it's a time when the winter cold fastens its grip, and it is near the winter solstice - the night with the least amount of daylight. According to NASA, the last time a Full Moon lit up the night sky on Christmas Day was in 1977. This celestial phenomenon will not happen again until 2034. Ruling the 4th House in Astrology, or the House of Family and Home, the Cancer Full Moon couldn't have come at a better time. A time when people like to gather with family and friends. Regardless of our beliefs, the holiday season is a great time to spend with those we care about. If we are missing somebody far away or no longer here in physical form, know that the bond we have with them is eternal, surpassing time and space. They are always close to us in spirit through the love we have in our heart. With Pluto and Mercury energies in the mix, we are thinking of making positive changes on our own. We know what we want and no longer want to settle for second best. With a new sense of independence and self-reliance, we are ready to move forward toward our goal. For some of us, this could mean that we are ready for self-employment, or upgrading our self-employment to the next level. Remember that being independent doesn't mean that we have to plan everything alone. By being open to look past the personalities and egos of others without trying to control or change, we make way for authentic communication and helpful interactions to take place.

The Moon is also forming a trine to Neptune and Venus, and we look to our inner self to bring peace to our life and home. Are we ready to invite more love into our life? Put our heart into our conversations and know that a sense of solidarity can go a long way. It will be great to see that there are many others just like us. Our creativity and imagination will also help to make fun out of anything ordinary. So expect friendships to begin to blossom again during this time as we become open to our more caring and playful attitude. All our senses can also work overtime, including a certain sixth sense about romantic matters. In the heat of the moment, we could connect more fully with our feelings that we feel inspired to produce a piece of art. Take a risk, we might really surprise ourself. With the Moon's square to Uranus Rx and Mars, are we having mood swings? Perhaps we need to get rid of anything negative. Try to go somewhere peaceful and get together with friends or family to share our innermost feelings. This can be one of a hectic whirlwind period for us as the winds are blowing changes our way more strongly. Focus on finding the positive side to everything by remembering that a disagreement can be a great learning experience. With Uranus moving direct, the new week can bring about quite a few changes, and we will soon understand how important every change really was. We can have many new ideas that we want to put action to, and nothing can stop us now from putting those ideas to work. Know that this is only the beginning of new things to come, so step our spirit up to provide the necessary motivation to get to work. Make it a point now to have a heartfelt view of things and let life begin to show its magic once again.

Moon in Sights | November 28th - December 23rd, 2015

November 28th, 2015 | Moon in Cancer, trines Neptune and Chiron Rx, squares Mars, Venus and Uranus Rx, opposes Pluto, sextiles Jupiter: Giving birth to a new life. Turning over a new leaf. The Moon is back home in Cancer after another round the zodiac wheel, and we are given another chance to start over. The great thing about starting over is that we can do it as often as we like. Regardless of what happened to us in the past, we always have the power within us to start a new chapter. To open a new page in our life with all that we've learnt along the way. To understand that life is truly a journey where we can learn and grow with each situation we encounter. There is no time limit to healing. There is no time limit to transformation. We may not have all the pieces of the puzzle yet, but all the pieces will fall into place as we make our way forward. Even if it doesn't make sense right now, it will all make sense as we begin to follow our soul's guidance. Have trust in the unfoldment of life. Have faith that as we leave the old behind, the new is already calling our name. Embrace that new. We owe it to ourself to start embodying our new, more learned and more evolved self.

November 30th, 2015 | Moon in Leo, trines Saturn, the Sun, Mercury and Uranus Rx, inconjuncts Neptune and Pluto, sextiles Mars and Venus: Rediscovering our light in the dark. Finding our way back through emotional healing. With the Sun, Leo's ruler, forming a conjunction to Saturn in the sign of forward-thinking Sagittarius, things may seem darker than they appear. There could have been the tendency to look at the negative side of things, instead of the positive. The feeling of not being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or simply seeing no end in sight to our problems. Know that here lies the wisdom in cultivating a deeper sense of connection with our own mind. How far are we willing to let the mind lure us into believing that there is no more chance for a better change? Just how far are we going to let that negative mind chatter take over? This is no longer about the mind. But more about the belief in our heart. Like the Moon that gives way to the Sun every morning to shine, the dark will eventually yield light. Everything is a cycle, and growth is inevitable. We may not be able to see the light right away, but we can start by having the faith in our heart that this too, shall pass. Spend some time tuning into our feelings. Listen to our inner truth and trust what we feel. Be extra gentle with ourself. This can mean slowing down our pace, avoiding multi-tasking, and not pushing ourself too hard. Respect ourself by holding gentle, compassionate thoughts about ourself. Have trust in the sacred unfolding of events. Ride the waves with open heart and mind, and let the light within lead our way forward.

December 2nd, 2015 | Moon in Virgo, opposes Neptune and Chiron, squares Saturn, the Sun and Mercury, trines Pluto: The work is not yet done. There's still a long road ahead and it's asking us to get back in touch with our faith and resilience. It can be easy at this time to feel overwhelmed or to even question the purpose of it all. Instead of wondering whether this will all be worth it in the end, put our focus more on our personal growth. This is no longer about trying to please everyone, but more about trying to honour our own soul's evolution. Because at the end of the day, we all have two things in common, our body and our mind. It is time we listen more closely to them and have more faith in them. To understand that we cannot fill another cup with an empty cup. To know that as we move forward, our body and mind grow along with us. The ongoing square between Saturn and Neptune has been guiding us to remember to slow down, to breathe and to take it easy. There's a message coming from 'too much multi-tasking' and 'trying be everywhere doing everything for everyone'. The message is for us to realize that self-care is a necessity. Spend some time devoted solely to rest time so that we can revive our energy. Rather than rushing to get everything done, take a practical step-by-step approach now. If we're unsure of which steps to take first, listen to our inner guidance, and then take those steps as we're guided without hesitation or delay. Remember to be good to ourself along the way, as there truly is only one of us on this planet. Anything that gives us peace and quiet can help us release stress and prepare our path for new opportunities ahead.

December 5th, 2015 | Moon in Libra, sextiles Saturn, the Sun and Mercury, conjuncts Mars, squares Pluto, opposes Uranus Rx: What lies beyond the spoken words? What lies in the unspoken? Can we find answers without asking the questions? Sometimes we do get an inner knowing without having to ask the questions. Some call it intuition, some call it instinct. Other times, the answers we're looking for lie beyond words because they are in our heart. How are we feeling now? Can we trust our intuition enough to hear beyond what is spoken? Perhaps we are afraid of the truth. Or perhaps, we simply can't decide what is true and what isn't. It is now our time to decide. What are we going to feel? Who are we going to be? How are we going to heal our relationship with our mind? Can we form a new thinking habit - where we can focus more on the positive, rather than the negative? For many it is a constant battle, between focusing on the negative and the positive. We now have the capacity to bring our focus back on our own personal power. The power to decide to no longer think negatively about ourself. The power to choose more empowering thoughts. The power to understand that we can do better now because we know better. We have more strength than we know and now we are guided to see ourself as strong. Strength is not just about physical muscles, but also about our emotional and mental resilience. Stay centered in peace and stay away from drama. We are deepening our relationship with the self.

December 7th, 2015 | Dark Moon in Scorpio, conjuncts Venus, trines Neptune and Chiron, sextiles Pluto and Jupiter: What is truth is truth, and a very powerful part of you can recognize truth. -Don Miguel Ruiz ● How far are we willing to go to understand our heart better? How deep are we willing to dig to uncover the root of our hurt? This is not about opening the skeleton closet, but more about finding a way to be at peace with our emotions. What wisdom can we learn from our hurt? Are we still in pain? Or are we already on our way to emotional healing? Regardless of what form of truth we might be facing, we always have the power that comes from being authentically ourself. There is strength in honouring who we truly are. There is courage in staying resilient in the midst of challenges. Can we open our eyes more to our own emotions? How open are we to being naked with our own truth? The dark Moon conjoining Venus in Scorpio is guiding us to stay true to our heart. There is no other way now but the way to real honesty and true authenticity. To follow the path that feels most sincere. To honour our soul by being honest with our own heart. Perhaps fear has been holding us back from an important priority. Or perhaps worry has been consuming our energy. As we are approaching a New Moon in Sagittarius, dedicate some time to detoxing ourself from worry energy. Listen to what our heart is trying to say that can assist us in our emotional cleansing and release. It is indeed the time to let our faith be bigger than our fears.

December 11th, 2015 | New Moon in Sagittarius: Sometimes the answers lie in letting go of the questions and going with your heart. Let's get to know our fears a little bit better. To no longer question them, but to begin understanding them in a way that brings us new thoughts and ideas. Where do our fears come from, anyway? We may believe that they come from outside of us, from other people, or circumstances that we have no control over. If we're willing to stop for a minute, we will see that they all come from within. This is not to blame ourself for all the fears that we may be harboring or feeling. But more to see where the root of our fears lie within us. As we get to know our fears a little better, we will see that the root of all fears come from us thinking that things wouldn't go the way that we want them to go. So then, is there a way for us to see fears in a different light? In a more positive way, perhaps? Well, the first thing to notice is the pattern of our fears. What can we see? Do we keep invoking the same kind of fear within us? If so, can we turn them around by focusing instead on the power that we have in the present moment? Our future moments are not set in stone. Even if some of us believe that they are, we still have the power to change them. Or transform them in a way - by working together with life, and not against it. One way to work together with life is to see the future as filled with possibilities. Instead of seeing our fears coming true as possibilities, see the future as a time filled with new chances for growth and expansion. By understanding that we always grow with each fear we encounter, we can see fears in a different way. By realizing our true authentic power, we will see that each moment is a chance for us to grow beyond our current limitations. Read more on: http://bit.ly/21Rs4Wc

December 13th, 2015 | Moon in Capricorn, conjuncts Mercury and Pluto, sextiles Neptune and Venus, squares Uranus Rx and Mars, trines Jupiter: Post-New Moon Diary. Finding a new sense of appreciation for the present. Discovering new wisdom in the small steps we take. What can we see when we slow down and take a look around? Can we truly appreciate the moment? Or do we feel that we are just too busy for that? As we welcome a new week, we can begin to pick up our pace. Where we may have gone too fast, we can begin slowing down our pace to be more present in the moment. Where we may have gone too slow, we can begin picking up speed to go to that next step. The Moon conjoining Mercury and Pluto is guiding us to notice our ideas and thoughts. To especially notice repetitive thoughts which guide us to make positive changes. We are receiving important divine guidance through our feelings and emotions. Which is why it's important to listen to them, and to take action upon them. The sextile to Venus and Neptune can also bring a sudden opening of the heart, where we feel more ready to let more love to permeate our life. We have worked hard to heal and open our heart, and now love has room to enter. Love comes in many forms. Through wonderful friends, spiritual connections, as well as through the healing power of self-love. Let the love energy work through us to increase our strength, heighten our intuition and take inspired action in our life. It's time to become our heart's best ally again.

December 15th, 2015 | Moon in Aquarius, sextiles Saturn, Uranus Rx and the Sun, squares Venus, trines Mars: Discovering that true power is in our hands. Seeing old situations in a different light. Through an epiphany, a new way of thinking is born. Perhaps we have been seeing it the wrong way. Perhaps our ego has been getting in the way. Can we see the wisdom? Can we feel the true power that lies within us? When was the last time we look inside ourself to make a decision about taking that important step? Realizing that we no longer have to wait for another to initiate and make the decisions for us, but to initiate them from our own sense of personal power. It truly can be a liberating feeling to finally release old shackles of disempowerment and follow our gut for a change. To really follow it, and believe that we always have within us the power of choice. The ego may want to control everything and let our heart and mind take a back seat. But now is our time to surrender control issues and let our true self shines from within. To take our heart power back and trust the feelings we get. The Moon forming a sextile to Saturn, Uranus Rx and the Sun is guiding us to see the path that is before us in a new way. We are receiving new inspiration through our ideas, epiphanies and thoughts. It's about time we took bold steps in the direction of our dreams. To clear away old fears and negativity about decision-making and taking action. To listen to our inner truth and trust what we feel. The door is open now. Leave the ego at the door and enter with our true, authentic inner power intact.

December 17th, 2015 | Moon in Pisces, conjuncts Neptune and Chiron, squares Saturn and the Sun, sextiles Mercury and Pluto, trines Venus, opposes Jupiter: Welcoming a brand new phase in healing. Releasing what no longer serves our heart's greatest good. Listening more closely to our soul's whispering wisdom. What can we let go? What can we begin? Our heart knows the answers to these questions because our heart knows what we have endured. What lessons have we learnt from love? How open are we to letting the love energy permeate our life? This is not the time to remember past pain. This is the time to remember our heart's growing strength. There is love within waiting to be expressed. By opening the Heart Chakra - through breathing consciously and visualizing in our mind a love heart blossoming and beaming light from the chest area, we can begin the process of releasing old pain and sending more love out into the Universe. There is love on offer, as well as the wisdom to stay true to our heart. The Moon forming a conjunction to Neptune and Chiron and a sextile to Mercury and Pluto is guiding us to add more breathing room to our schedule. To take more positive and healthful action towards the betterment of our psyche. To surrender to the divine wisdom of our higher mind. To listen to our feelings with a grateful heart. The completion of an old cycle is at hand. This means out with the old, in with the new. Send our gratitude to the old phase as we welcome a new one where we feel more ready to move forward, spread our wings and fly even higher than ever before.

December 19th, 2015 | Moon in Aries, trines Saturn and the Sun, squares Mercury and Pluto, conjuncts Uranus Rx, opposes Mars: Moving on and going forward on our path. Beginning a brand new cycle more embedded in our truth. Letting go of ideas and beliefs that no longer serve our soul's greatest good. How far are we willing to go on the quest to find our truth? Remember that believing in our truth doesn't mean that we reserve the right to trample on what others believe to be the truth. But to have trust in our own chosen path to move forward with faith and a sense of conviction. To be open to exploring different beliefs and ideologies, not to prove to others which way is right and which is wrong. But to show that each and every one of us is indeed on our own individual journey. There is insecurity and fear in judging others for what they believe in. There is courage and love in understanding that we owe nobody an explanation for what we believe in. So which road are we going to take? This is not an invitation to take the high road or any other road for that matter. But to simply go instead with what we believe to be the truth of our heart. Focus upon being true to ourself without having to compromise our ethics or be intimidated by others. To see struggles not as blocks but as gestures from the universe to show how strong we truly are. To know that after all we've been through, we are now more equipped for whatever comes our way. The Aries Moon is here to remind us that we have strength within us and we are also strong enough to stick to our beliefs, walk our talk and say no to negativity or distractions from our path as we continue our way forward.

December 21st, 2015 | Moon in Taurus, sextiles Neptune and Chiron, trines Pluto, Mercury and Jupiter, opposes Venus: A new awakening in healing. A new outlook on life. Things from the past bearing a new revelation. How can we heal a broken heart? How can we heal a broken soul? In truth, both the heart and the soul can never be broken. It is our feelings and thoughts that hurt. The feeling of losing something. The feeling of being misunderstood by someone. The feeling of betrayal. Generally any kind of emotion that brings to us a feeling of disconnection from our true power. Where did that power go? How can we regain our sense of empowerment? One of the most effective ways to heal a broken heart is to give. To help. To share. There is wisdom in giving to another. There is love in helping another. Sharing can bring a feeling of peace — even for a moment. Honour our emotions with opening our heart more. Respect our feelings by listening to our inner truth. A truth that resides within us, and that can never be taken away from us. It is never-ending, everlasting and eternal. It is what we call our soul power. A power that doesn't need to control - because control is a form of fear. But a power in recognizing our own integrity, and following our own unique path. Perhaps we have been pushing a little too hard, or perhaps we have been beating ourself up with perfectionism. The Taurus Moon forming a trine to Pluto, Mercury and Jupiter brings a reminder to put greater focus on the needs of our mind and body. A quiet respite can bring a feeling of renewal and healing, because like our lungs, our soul needs a breathing space. Breathe the new with open heart. Rejuvenate the soul with taking better care of ourself. Feel our energy and passion return as we let go of the old and make space for the new.

December 23rd, 2015 | Moon in Gemini, squares Neptune and Jupiter, opposes Saturn, sextiles Uranus Rx, trines Mars: Pre-Full Moon Diary. Walking our talk. Standing in our truth. Speaking from the heart. As the Moon grows fuller, we have some more releasing and letting go to do to make space for the new. To release means to surrender. To surrender means to relinquish our need to control. Letting go of our need to control means to stop struggling or fighting with ourself. Instead of seeing ourself negatively because of seeming imperfections, see ourself instead as a work in progress. Instead of feeling that we should be farther ahead on our path by now, see how far we have come and how many lessons we have learned along the way. There is a sense of freedom in knowing that we are an open vessel to new experiences. To look into our heart and have trust that it is safe to admit the truth to ourself. Perhaps we have been hiding from our true feelings. Perhaps we have been feeling that we'd be overwhelmed by emotions and faced with making the necessary changes that we feel unprepared for. Trust our own feelings now even if others don't agree, but avoid getting caught up in the illusion that 'this is the way it is.' Each day, make the time to listen to our heart and communicate our heart in an honest way. Knowing that the more we listen to that voice within, the more confident we will feel with what our heart has to say. Quiet our mind and listen. There is new wisdom waiting to be heard.

New Moon in Sagittarius | Following The Heart Compass

● | ● | ● | ●

 December 11th, 2015

New Moon in Sagittarius: Sometimes the answers lie in letting go
of the questions and going with your heart.

Happy New Moon! The Moon is conjoining the Sun in Sagittarius along with Saturn, marking an extra active and ambitious New Moon in the sign of the Archer-Centaur. Here is our chance for another brand new start. Even if we can't yet see a future that's filled with possibilities, we should at least get a better understanding of our fears of the future. Ruled by the planet Jupiter in Astrology, Sagittarius is a sign that looks more toward the future rather than the past. But with Saturn now moving through the sign, also known as the planet of restrictions or limitations in Astrology, the energy can get a little tangled between our need for expansion and our fear of it. We may have a desire for growth and evolution, but we may also have some fears that we need to deal with along the way. How can we move beyond those fears? How can we grow into fully embodying our true, most authentic and powerful self? Perhaps we need both fear and love in our life in order to understand ourself better. To try to find the wisdom in our fears. The wisdom of understanding our limitations better in order to understand our true potentials. Yes, it can all be a confusing mix, but only if we are not fully open and centered in our own soul. Is it possible perhaps, that deep down we are afraid of growth? It is possible, because growth can mean that we have to go outside of our comfort zone. This New Moon is our time to understand that it doesn't always have to be about going out of our comfort zone, but more about going deeper within to discover our true potentials. The possibility for growth is always embedded within us, as we shall soon see. As we nurture that optimistic side within us, we will see the many possibilities that life has to offer. Again, this is not about turning a blind eye to our fears or what we believe to be the reality of our life. But more to see life in a way that brings us a growing sense of openness to advancement and progress.

With the Moon forming a square to Neptune and Jupiter, we are at a crossroads, and we are listening to our inner guidance about the best direction to take through our feelings. Spend some time in quiet contemplation with our feelings. Listen more closely to our emotions to help them reveal to us our innermost truths. A few things may not be as clear as we want them to be now, which is why we need to be extra aware so that we can consciously know how we really feel. The Moon in Sagittarius can also evoke within us the desire for travel or even to learn new languages. But perhaps we currently have some obligations to attend to or projects to complete. Regardless of our current situation, a more playful approach to responsibilities can bring about humor, creativity and surprises to our day. The Moon is also forming a trine to Uranus Rx and a sextile to Mars, and even though there's so much intense energy in the world right now, there's also a new wave of positive energy coming through our prayers and belief. Each one of us plays an important part in this. By refusing to let fear get in our way, we make room for courage to permeate our life. By keeping our heart open to love and light, we make way for miracles to support us on our path. A New Moon is always a great time to start anew. To see our world with brand new eyes and to explore new options. Communicating and sharing of ideas can expand our boundaries and broaden our horizons at this time. Just remember to keep the faith and keep on following our heart compass, because that's where our true inspiration resides.
