New Moon in Libra | New Mental Freedom (Mini Post)

 October 20th, 2017

New Moon in Libra:
To be free one needs to see freedom as an inward change, which is recognizing
the freedom to feel what one feels, to think what one thinks, to say
what one needs to say, as well as to want and to choose what
one wants while also remembering to respect
the rights and freedoms of others.

When you think you care, but you actually don't.

When you think there is no way out, but all you actually
need to do is build a new door.

When you think there is no hope, but there actually are endless resources
within you and all around you waiting to be discovered.

The key to freedom lies within our minds. As the popular saying goes, "Change your mind, change your world." Some might wonder, "Is it really as easy as changing our minds to change our world?" In essence, there is indeed a strong correlation between our inner and outer worlds.

What we believe about ourselves can dictate the way we act and the way we make our decisions. This is not to say that when we feel great about ourselves, we will instantly achieve great success. But what it does is pave the way for us to make decisions that will be beneficial to our growth, and from there, make way for greater progress to unfold.

A positive correlation between our inner and outer worlds also depends on whether or not we believe in our own thoughts. When we don't let the myriad messages that enter our minds from the outside world to influence us, we make room for critical thinking to occur as well as develop a stronger sense of who we are and what matters to us most.

A New Moon in the sign of Libra brings to us the opportunity to bring back the balance between our inner and outer worlds. What we actually, truly, care about, and what we actually need to release from our lives. With Libra's ruling planet Venus also back in the sign, we get a chance to restructure our love lives and the way we relate to one another. How can we understand each other better if we don't say what we need to say?

Speaking our minds shouldn't be about who's right and who's wrong, but more about bringing about balanced communication so that each individual has a chance to infuse truth and authenticity into the relationship. A new sense of mental freedom begins when we recognize that we always have within us the power to change our minds, to shift our perspectives, to bring about change and to transform our lives from the inside out. The choice is in our minds.

Full Moon in Aries | Living Your Dreams (Mini Post)

● | ● | ● | ●

 October 5th, 2017

In this world you're either growing or you're dying so get in motion and grow.
Lou Holtz

Full Moon in Aries:
Base your dreams not only on the size of your actions, but also the size of your belief.

Do you have the courage to live your dreams?

Do you have the courage to take full responsibility of your actions?

It may be easier to blame circumstances outside of us when things don't go our way. What's difficult is taking responsibility for what we want to achieve, even when things don't go as planned. There are a number of reasons why we (sometimes) fail to do the things we want to do.

The first is a fear of the unknown. When we can't predict the outcome of a situation and what effect it will have on our self-esteem, we tend to procrastinate and do whatever we can to prevent our ego from getting hurt.

The second is the belief that we'll perform better at a later date when we are more prepared or ready. This puts us in a state of indecision - sometimes on purpose, which in turn gives us another reason to validate the stalling.

Our human tendency to be right and feel safe can also overshadow our capacity to do the hard work, break old barriers and reach our goals. Understanding that achieving something new requires changing patterns of thought and behavior can help us see the necessary steps for us to take to step out of our comfort zones.

A Full Moon in the sign of Aries brings to us the opportunity to set out on a journey to achieve something new by changing the way we think. How can we overcome past conditioning and form a new mindset? How can we replace old self-limiting beliefs, values and goals in favor of an expanded awareness and a liberated spirit?

It's about time we focused on the present, because that's where our true power resides. It's about time we eradicated fear by taking smaller action steps that can propel us toward our dreams. It's about time we released our old selves and attitudes and affirm: I'm not that person anymore. My new self is here and now!

New Moon in Virgo | Rediscovering the Present (Mini Post)

● | ● | ● | ●

 September 20th, 2017

New Moon in Virgo:
Feeling at home in your life begins with feeling at home in your soul.

Where you feel most at home is where your authenticity resides.

Where you feel most at peace is where your wisdom resides.

So where do we truly feel most at home? Where do we find the most peace? Is it by the fireplace at home? Or on the beach at sunrise? Is it while getting lost in the woods? Or while hiking in the mountains?

Wherever it may be, finding some time to de-stress, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, can help us to reconnect with ourselves. It's important to know where our go-to destinations for unplugging and recharging, because stress not only clutters our minds but also the source of many physical health problems.

Taking care of the clutter in our homes is also another great way to help us 'reorganize' our lives. We can start by asking ourselves, what would we replace if we lost everything? By being more mindful before we bring something new into our lives, we can ensure the only things we add are things that we truly want, love and need instead of things that keep up space.

Focusing on the present can also help us reclaim our inner peace, because stress often comes from living in the past or the future. Whether it's regretting something that we have done or worrying about what to do next, by choosing to focus more on the present we can keep our problems in perspective. Sometimes, we focus so much on our problems that we forget all the blessings that we have received in our lives.

A New Moon is Virgo brings to us the chance to remember how blessed we actually are. We are reminded that life unfolds in the present and that we are only misusing the precious seconds of our lives by worrying about the future or brooding over the past. Living in the moment, which is another term for mindfulness, is a state where we are more engaged, more open and more aware of the present.

Know that living in the moment is not about dwelling on our present worries or mind-chatter, but more about cultivating deeper awareness of our personal power in the present moment. This also doesn't mean that we should avoid what is bothering us, but more about moving toward it from a place of acceptance, and then directing our attention back to our personal power.

As we draw our next breath, feel the power in our souls and the light in our hearts. This is it. We are here, alive, aware and ready for our brand new beginning where we feel more at home, not only in our souls, but also in our lives.

Full Moon in Pisces | Surrendering to the Soul

● | ● | ● | ●

 September 6th, 2017

Full Moon in Pisces:
The ego surrenders to the lies to avoid the truth. The
soul surrenders to the truth to avoid the lies.

When the truth speaks louder than the lies.

When the pain of truth is better than the joy of lies.

When the lies step aside to make way for the truth, that's when you know the soul is speaking.

That's when you know you no longer have room for lies in your life. Sometimes the lies get so loud, that the truth gets even louder to get you to hear more clearly. Sometimes the lies get so big, that the truth gets even bigger to get you to see the best way forward.

When you are ready for the truth, the lies become irrelevant. When you are ready to see the truth, the lies dissipate. We have the power to listen to the voice of the soul. We have the power to open our eyes and see the blinding light of lies.

When you are ready to see the truth, the lies dissipate.

Sometimes, we tell ourselves half truths because we are not ready for pure truth. Other times, we tell ourselves half lies because we are not ready for pure honesty. Lies can only come from telling lies. And truth can only come from speaking the truth.

This doesn't mean that we should live without tact and excessively tell the truth, but rather to recognize the difference between lying for the sake of lying and being tactful in our delivery of truth. Because constantly voicing our opinions, feelings and beliefs without caring about how they affect others can actually be more detrimental rather than helpful.

We can start by looking at the lies we tell ourselves, whether it's a feeling that we don't deserve love, that we don't deserve happiness, that we are not enough or simply anything that only creates more doubts and fears in our minds. Once we eradicate these false beliefs we have about ourselves, what we get is a stronger and more solid sense of confidence in ourselves and our abilities.

Recognize the difference between lying for the sake of lying
and being tactful in our delivery of truth.

Happy Full Moon! The Moon is joining Neptune Rx and Chiron Rx in Pisces forming an opposition to Mars and the Sun in Virgo, marking a super intuitive and expressive Full Moon in the sign of the Fish. If we couldn't see our personal power before, we can open our eyes to it now. If we couldn't distinguish reality from fantasy before, we can draw a clearer line between them now.

Know that recognizing reality shouldn't be about leaving behind our fantasies altogether. But more about putting them in their rightful place, understanding that at the end of the day both reality and fantasy serve a purpose, which is listening to our inner wisdom and fulfilling our highest potentials.

Ruling the 12th House in astrology and having Neptune as the planetary ruler, a Full Moon in the sign of Pisces brings to us the opportunity for a soulful renewal - a culmination of our spiritual journey, what we've learnt and what we've come to understand. Are we ready to go to the next level of awareness? The choice is in our own hands.

If we couldn't distinguish reality from fantasy before,
we can draw a clearer line between them now.

With the Moon forming a sextile to Pluto Rx, it's time for us to trust, have faith and believe. Some of our painful moments — moments when it seems like we hit rock bottom, are actually moments of revelation. Try to find the blessings in disguise, because everything in our lives can be a teaching experience, helping us to learn and grow.

No experience is ever a waste of time, because each is filled with opportunities for mental, emotional and spiritual growth. Our job is not to try to lead a perfect life, but to discover our personal power through life's ups and downs and to own our spirit to keep moving forward.

No experience is ever a waste of time, because each is filled with
opportunities for mental, emotional and spiritual growth.

The Moon is also forming a square to Saturn, and we realize that a part of growing and evolving is letting go. Whether it's letting go of old beliefs and values, letting go of old habits, letting go of old relationships, letting go of old belongings or anything that no longer serves a purpose in our lives. There may be a sense of loss, or an identity crisis, but there is also an opportunity for change and transformation.

A Pisces Full Moon is a time of surrendering to the soul, because that's where the truth resides. A time of spiritual renewal, because we are in the process of rebuilding the foundations of our faith. A regeneration is assured. A new life awaits. Do not dwell on the past, so that we can create space for a renewed spirit and a shift of awareness - helping us to move forward with new hope, new faith, new healing, new aspirations and new enlightenment.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo | Connecting the Dots to Inner Power

● | ● | ● | ●

 August 21st, 2017

True communication is communion - the realization of oneness, which is love.
Eckhart Tolle

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo:
True communication begins with true listening.

Are we really listening to our inner voice? Are we really following our inner guidance system? How can we access more of our soul's infinite wisdom? Sometimes we wonder whether we should listen to our heart or our mind. In truth, we should always follow our heart, but also take into account what our mind has to say. This is not whether or not one is better than the other. This is more about the importance of truly listening to that inner voice.

So where is this inner voice? Is it in the mind? Or in the heart? In essence, our inner voice comes from the soul. It's the voice that speaks when we find time to silence the outside world and listen to ourselves. Peace and quiet is where this voice resides. When our daily lives are overwhelmed with noise and distraction, it's harder to connect with our soul and listen to what it has to say. Finding a quiet moment alone and feeling more present in ourselves (even for five minutes a day) can help us regain our center and listen to our soul's inner wisdom.

In truth, we should always follow our heart, but also
take into account what our mind has to say.

The same goes with our daily interactions. The way we communicate with others reflects the way we communicate with ourselves. Do we listen to reply? Or do we listen to understand? When we are listening to reply, we are less present in ourselves and hence only focusing on what we want to hear. But when we are listening to understand, we are more present in ourselves and the conversation and hence able to see the bigger picture and stop jumping to conclusions.

When we are willing to truly listen (whether to what another person or our inner voice has to say), we will be able to speak more truthfully from the heart, and therefore able to connect on a deeper level - not only with others, but also with ourselves.

The way we communicate with others reflects
the way we communicate with ourselves.

Happy New Moon Solar Eclipse! The Moon is conjoining Mars and the Sun in Leo, marking a revelatory and transformational New Moon in the sign of the Lion. This is the second New Moon happening consecutively in the same sign (the last one on July 23rd), although this time coinciding with a Solar Eclipse - a time when the Moon completely blocks out the Sun. What do we wish to reveal? What do we wish to keep concealed? What are we ready to change and let go of? And what are we ready to accept and embrace?

As we connect more closely to our truth, we become more in alignment with who we truly are and let go of anything that no longer serves us. A New Moon Solar Eclipse is also a great time to release resentments and forgive. Who do we need to forgive? Why has it been hard for us to let the heavy burdens go? Forgiveness is not about condoning what the other person did to us, but more about setting our hearts free from anger and hatred and embracing our future with new hope and faith.

Who do we need to forgive? Why has it been
hard for us to let the heavy burdens go?

With the Moon forming a sextile to Jupiter, what internal messages have we been receiving lately? Perhaps an inspired thought to make positive changes, to learn more about ourselves, to change our diet and exercise habits, or anything that will bring us closer to embodying our most authentic selves. Being true to ourselves is not only about changing the way we look or the way we act, but also about living in accordance with our deepest values and our heart's deepest promises. It may not be easy at first, but this is about taking that first step of our journey to deeper authenticity.

The Moon is also forming a trine to Saturn Rx and Uranus Rx, and we are reminded that sometimes, out of the blue, life has a way of orchestrating a Divine intervention. It's a matter of being ready to receive. Humility is called for now, because grace opens the door to unseen possibilities. To be who we aspire to be, we can no longer do what we did. In a way, we have hit rock bottom, and there is no other way now but up.

To be who we aspire to be, we can no longer do what we did.

A Leo New Moon Solar Eclipse is that opportune time to pick ourselves up, and rebuild our foundation in the way we wish we'd been all along. We have no choice but to face ourselves painfully and honestly. When we hit rock bottom, we are reminded of how far off course we were, and that our life choices were no longer sustainable. When we hit our lowest point, we begin questioning everything that we've ever thought to be true and build a new foundation based on our renewed sense of truth. We begin to look up, pushing ourselves up to the surface, away from the darkness and back into the light, knowing that a new and more solid ground awaits.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius | The Power of Self-Approval

● | ● | ● | ●

 August 7th, 2017

Our ultimate freedom is the right and power to decide how
anybody or anything outside ourselves will affect us.
Stephen R. Covey

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius:
Don't trade in your authenticity for approval.

Celebrate the storm, knowing that you were growing into your whole, authentic self.

Commemorate the heartbreak, realizing that you were learning your heart's resilience.

Honor the pain, understanding that you were discovering your soul's true courage.

Approving of ourselves begins when we respect ourselves enough to stop giving others the power to control us with their opinions. This is not the same as being stubborn or selfish, because stubbornness and selfishness often come from fear of truth. Whereas approving of ourselves comes from trusting ourselves and respecting our beliefs, values and truths.

Being self-approving also doesn't mean that we are always able to make the right decisions or that everything is in perfect balance. It means that we are willing to rise above negative self-judgments, learn from our mistakes and move forward stronger, wiser and more aware. With the power of self-approval, comes the capacity to take our lives off autopilot as we set off on a journey where we can flourish, thrive and own our authentic unique selves.

Approving of ourselves begins when we respect ourselves
enough to stop giving others the power to
control us with their opinions.

Happy Full Moon Lunar Eclipse! The Moon in Aquarius is forming an opposition to Mars and the Sun in Leo, marking a super electric and revolutionary Full Moon in the sign of the Water-Bearer. With a Lunar Eclipse happening at the same time (a time when the Earth is exactly between the Sun and the Moon), we get to look beyond the superficial and see the truth more clearly.

Are we judging ourselves too harshly? Perhaps we don't trust our own abilities, choices and achievements, and because of that, it's hard to practice unconditional love for ourselves. Know that self-approval shouldn't be about proving ourselves to anyone, or that we have to be perfect and never experience another moment of doubt. It is more about recognizing our right to self-determination, self-expression, self-respect and ultimately, self-love. And how do we go about doing that? By simply remembering our humanity, our infinite nature, our truth.

Are we judging ourselves too harshly?

With the Moon forming a trine to Jupiter, we realize that change can be an adventure. When we think about change, what thoughts and feelings come to us? What areas of our lives need to change so that we can go forward in much stronger direction - one which is more in alignment with our personal vision and mission? Instead of seeing change as something stressful and worrisome - because of our fear of the unknown, see change as a spiritual path where we can always learn, grow and heal.

The change may not be easy or make sense at this time, but it will make sense several years from now when we look back on how everything is woven together. The clock is ringing inside of us, calling us to get up and make some personal changes. It is an internal pressure, pushing us to take positive action and renew our faith, confidence and motivation in living a more authentic life.

The clock is ringing inside of us, calling us to get up
and make some personal changes.

The Moon is also forming a sextile to Saturn Rx and Uranus Rx, and we ask ourselves, 'Am I ready to commit to my truth?' What does it mean to commit to one's truth? Does it mean being truthful all the time? Or is it about doing whatever we want whenever we want? To live our deepest truths is to become one with our core values, strengths, power and love. By living our truth, we also open our eyes to different people from different cultures with different truths and the interconnections between them all.

With both Saturn and Uranus being the old and new planetary rulers of Aquarius, we are being guided to explore old truths and new ideas. A Full Moon in the sign of Aquarius brings to us the opportunity to take a fearless look at ourselves and understand our true motivations and reactions. Begin by exploring our relationship with truth and questioning our fears regarding truth. Remember that by living a truth-centered life, we can move from a sense of powerlessness, anxiety and fear, to a life filled with more empowerment, never-ending curiosity and fearless adventures.

New Moon in Leo | Rewriting the Rules

● | ● | ● | ●

 July 23rd, 2017

New Moon in Leo:
Challenge old beliefs, break new ground, shatter your
inner glass ceiling and claim your light.

Are we repeating the same mistakes? Are we inclined to focus on negative experiences rather than positive ones? The past rather than the future? What can we learn from our past mistakes and what can we do differently in the future? Oftentimes, it can be hard to always be fully aware of what we are paying attention to and why. And this is the reason why it can be hard to kick bad habits or stick to our personal core values.

When we put our focus on past mistakes or negative experiences, we can lose our hope in the future. And when we lose hope, we tend to repeat the same mistakes. Know that focusing on our past mistakes shouldn't be about condemning what we did or didn't do, but more about giving ourselves the opportunity to slow down and reflect. Focusing on our future shouldn't also be about fearing the unknown, but more about figuring out what we can achieve if we avoid the same old pitfalls.

When we lose hope, we tend to repeat the same mistakes.

By paying more attention to our personal values, we can confront our unconscious belief systems and find new ways to address them. Why do we keep repeating the same mistakes? Is it because we are afraid of progress? Or is it because by extinguishing our own hopes, we can protect ourselves from the rejection that has already happened in the past?

The pain we know may be familiar, but this is not about familiarizing ourselves with our wounds. This is more about mastering and changing our present. Are we ready to challenge those old self-defeating beliefs and break new ground? Are we ready to let go of the need to know what's next? Begin by shattering our inner glass ceiling and rise above disempowering beliefs. Rewrite the rules, because only by changing our stories can we live our truth and let our true light shine.

The pain we know may be familiar, but this is not about
familiarizing ourselves with our wounds.

Happy New Moon! The Moon is joining the Sun, Mars and Mercury in Leo, marking a super expressive and ambitious New Moon in the sign of the Lion. As we believe more in ourselves, we lift ourselves up and purify our intentions so that they are aligned with our soul purpose. If we have been feeling anxious or irritable lately, now is the time to use those negative emotions to fuel our creativity.

Channeling strong emotions such as anger, fear, grief, frustration, disappointment and using them as a creative fuel can help us return to balance and equilibrium. Turning negativity into a creative action can be especially cathartic at this time. In this way, rather than letting strong negative emotions to consume or overwhelm us, we honor their power to inspire and move us in a positive direction.

As we believe more in ourselves, we lift ourselves up and purify
our intentions so that they are aligned with our soul purpose.

The Moon is forming a sextile to Jupiter and Venus, and love heals fear. We have come to a point in our lives where what matters most in our interactions is how we choose to react to others. Instead of angrily obsessing or allowing another person's behavior to pull us down, we choose a higher path of reaction such as taking care of ourselves and finding empowering solutions.

Heart-to-heart conversations can also deepen relationships at this time, helping us to understand one another better and bringing us closer to each other. We are here to break the cycle of passive-aggressive behaviors by learning new ways of communicating our thoughts. By bringing issues and feelings out in the open, we create a more truthful environment where we can approach conflict in healthy ways rather than avoiding conflict altogether.

We are here to break the cycle of passive-aggressive behaviors
by learning new ways of communicating our thoughts.

With the Moon's trine to Saturn Rx and Uranus, we remember that a dream can be manifested one step at a time. It can feel overwhelming when we don't know what step to take. Divine inspiration comes from listening with our hearts and minds to the Aha! ideas we receive. It's also important to incorporate playfulness into our daily lives to reduce stress and discover our inner joy. For example, we can express our playfulness while working at the office or exercising at the gym, because when we are playful, we lift up the energy of everyone around us.

Remember that working hard is not about promising ourselves that we will have fun someday once we have reached every goal we set for ourselves. The New Moon in Leo brings to us the reminder that we can still have our own version of fun while fulfilling our responsibilities. That we can pour joy into everything we do in the present and bring back our faith and optimism for the future. That we can get out of our own way and claim our light — not only because we deserve it, but also because being authentic is a form of self-respect and self-love.

Full Moon in Capricorn | Moving On (Mini Post)

● | ● | ● | ●

 July 9th, 2017

You wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down.
Toni Morrison

Full Moon in Capricorn:
I have the wisdom and the strength to keep moving forward
in the direction of my goals and dreams.

Where do we go from here? How do we get from where we are today to where we want to be tomorrow? Are we ready to close the door to the past and open the door to our future? There comes a time in everyone's life, when, for different reasons it's necessary to let things go and move forward. Not only because things have gotten too heavy to carry, but also because the present has become colourless and disconnected.

Know that disruption often appears in our lives to get us to change and move out of our comfort zones. Each disruption brings with it the opportunity to change, and how we deal with those disruptions determines the change. We want to remind ourselves that the only thing constant in life is change. By learning to adapt to new changes, we open a pathway out of our comfort zones and into a new season in our lives. By realizing that we are in the driver's seat, we can we respond to circumstances with a deeper sense of ownership, accountability and responsibility.

When we remember that we are always in control, which is not the same as being controlling, we become more free to think, feel and be anything we want. Feeling more free begins with eliminating victim talk from our vocabulary and owning our choices. By saying that we can't or we should or shouldn't, we are claiming that we have no control over our situation. When we eliminate the use of victim phrases, we can start taking life by the reigns and steer it wherever we want to go.

This doesn't mean that there won't be any bumps on the road, but there is wisdom in recognizing the power in being solution-oriented. So get in there, trust our intuition by tuning in to our inner compass and following our inspiration. Employ positive thinking by keeping our thoughts in a positive direction. Respect ourselves by participating in the world and fulfilling our dreams. Happiness does come from moving forward.
